Park Yourself up for a Good Time
In this hot weather, it would be more than rude not to cycle down to the nearest park and catch some rays! Everyone’s doing it, so let’s take a look at three of the world’s most famous parks.
Hyde Park – London
One of the largest parks in Britain, this place has it all from rock concerts to coffee shops. The park dates back to the 16th Century when King Henry VIll would stride around hunting boar and deer. Things might have changed a little since then, but it’s still a great way to spend a day.
Central Park – New York
Located smack bang in the centre of Manhattan, Central Park opened in 1857 and is the most visited urban park in America. There are numerous bridges and fountains, and it’s easy to find yourself lost in a book or relaxing on the grass as the world passes you by. Spending a day just wandering around is enough to make you want to up sticks and move to NY.
Park Güell – Barcelona
It’s almost impossible to visit Barcelona without soaking in the influence of Gaudí. For anyone who fails to get into the atmosphere, a stroll around Park Güell will soon change that. With mosaic benches, stunning architecture and an amazing view of the city, it’s no wonder that so many tourists chose to travel here year after year.
So, we’re asking you, what are the best parks you’ve ever visited? Have any of them ever topped any of the above? We’d love to hear…
