October is always a bit of a strange month. The schools are back in full swing, the summer holidays are long gone and it seems there’s not much to look forward to.
But that need not be the case… The beginning of Autumn is in fact one of the best times of the year.
It’s a time when you can still walk through the parks and enjoy what is on offer before the winter kicks in. What would you prefer? Being ankle-deep in snow, or being able to stroll around kicking the leaves and wondering what the next few weeks will bring?
Autumn often gets a bad press but there’s no reason why.
I was always brought up to make New Year’s Resolutions. But for a change, why not buck the trend and make ‘Autumn Resolutions’ instead while the sun still shines?
Here’s my three:
1) Do more jogging before the heavy snow boots become a necessity.
2) Feed more birds – Before they hibernate for the cold winter months.
3) Explore more parks – They will be out of bounds soon, so enjoy them while they are there!
Anyone who can add to the list, I’m willing to listen. Please let me know
