An Egg-cellent Time of Year!
One of the most interesting Easters I ever spent was in the beautiful city of Krakow with my family. We booked a lovely little hotel close to the square and had three days wandering the picturesque streets watching people with baskets full of food and soaking each other on Easter Monday. Ever since, I have long campaigned for Śmigus-dyngus to be turned into a British tradition!
But over the past two years, I have seen Easter through slightly different eyes. With my nieces now old enough to appreciate the Easter Bunny, a mythical creature dreamed up by German Lutherans, I have once again enjoyed the thrills of the ‘Easter Egg Hunt’.
Armed with only a hand-drawn map, my nieces have made their way through their house and garden, collecting carefully-placed chocolates and treats. It really is great fun to be a part of and a fantastic way to spend a morning.
So what have been your best Easter memories? And how did you spend it this year? We’d be interested to hear if your experiences were more exciting than ours…
