A Flying Start

Anyone casting their mind back four years ago will remember the enormous buzz right around the country as Poland co-hosted the EURO 2012 competition – especially if you were lucky enough to find yourself in one of the four host cities.

This year’s tournament doesn’t have quite the same vibe, what with it being held over in France. But that said, Poland are off to a decent enough start, after securing three points in their first match against Northern Ireland.

Their next two matches won’t be quite such a breeze though. Ukraine are always a bit of a wild card and Germany, well, what can you say about Germany?! You’d be a fool to write them out of any competition.

So will Poland be progressing through to the next round? It’s still too early to tell. But with three points already in the bag, they’ve got a better chance than England…
