A Night at the Theatre
When you think about an evening spent at the theatre it usually conjures up images of grand designs, smart dresses and a night of culture.
Not so on Saturday when I visited Edinburgh.
The event was a bit of a surprise and I wasn’t told what we were going to do when we got to Scotland. So imagine my astonishment / horror when we pulled up in the taxi outside the Edinburgh Playhouse and I saw the signs for ‘Mama Mia’ – The ABBA musical.
I’m big into music, but being surrounded by 3,000 screaming ABBA fans is not my idea of entertainment. However, to be fair the show wasn’t as bad as I expected and if you left your preconceptions at the door and just got on with it, it was actually quite fun. By the end of the night I even found myself clapping along…
A very bizarre evening indeed. So we’re asking you to write to us and tell us about your most interesting night at the theatre – we’d love to know.
