The Great Pizza Debate
As readers of this blog will know, every now and then (ok, very often) I like to treat myself to a pizza. We are quite lucky in this neck of the woods as we are blessed with three very good pizzerias – two specialising in deep pan pizzas and one which produces fantastic thin and crispy ones. So no matter which type you crave, your needs are catered for.
But the same argument always arrises whenever we go to order. I like to be quite adventurous and mix it up a bit (I think last night’s included spicy beef / onion / tabasco sauce / salami) whilst my mate always goes for hawaiian style. Now, I don’t know about you, but there is something seriously wrong with this. I love pineapple and I love pizza – but the two should not be mixed.
Of course this leads to all kinds of shouting matches as we argue who’s right and who’s wrong. Sure, it’s only a bit of fun, but I’m very passionate about my pizza and it’s quite a serious issue! So readers, what are your thoughts on the matter? Can they be mixed? And what is your favourite topping? We’d love to hear.
