One of the most exciting (and amusing) parts of learning a foreign language is being able to master a couple of its tongue twisters. While the concept is simple – a phrase or sentence designed to be hard to say – managing to get all the way through one successfully or without your friends erupting into fits of laughter is not. Due to the fact that word formations and the pronunciation of letters vary from country to country, each language has its own unique set of tongue twisters which can be difficult for both native speakers and those trying to master it. But as well as being fun, they are also an ideal way of improving fluency and speaking skills. Here are a four of our favourite English tongue twisters… See how many you are able to complete!

- A box of biscuits, a box of mixed biscuits and a biscuit mixer

- The sixth sick sheik’s sixth sheep’s sick

- Imagine an imaginary menagerie manager managing an imaginary menagerie

- How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
